Read these assumptions with the totals
- Amazon S3: Direct internet egress; AWS-wide 100 GiB allowance assumed unused. No CloudFront, KMS or paid add-ons.
- Cloudflare R2: Standard only. Whole-million request rounding. Other Cloudflare products can add charges.
- Backblaze B2: Direct internet route; standard API calls only. Overdrive and partner CDN delivery excluded.
- Wasabi: 1 TiB monthly minimum. 90-day minimum object storage duration. Egress policy must fit your workload.
- Bunny Storage: One replica; every delivered GB priced at the EU/NA Standard CDN rate. GB interpreted as decimal; confirm invoice units.
- Scaleway: 730-hour month at constant capacity, rounded up to GB. Decimal GB interpretation; actual hourly usage may differ.

Use the average amount stored throughout the month, including old versions and unfinished multipart uploads if they are billed. This is not the number of bytes you upload each month. Outbound traffic is the data delivered to clients; in Bunny’s row it is CDN delivery. For the other rows it is direct storage-to-internet traffic. No cache-hit assumption is applied.
Write operations include PUT, COPY and LIST for the modeled S3 request class. Reads use GET-class pricing. An application action can create several billable operations: count multipart pieces and listing pages, not just files. Specialized APIs, analytics and premium features are outside this model.
What is outside the estimate
These are steady-state planning estimates before tax, not invoice predictions. Cold and infrequent-access storage, retrieval fees for those classes, negotiated rates, migration, replication beyond Bunny’s one selected region, compute, image transformation, support and third-party CDN bills are excluded. Region labels are part of each result; availability in Europe does not make the AWS N. Virginia rate a European rate.
The shortest retention input detects scenarios that need early-deletion billing. It does not estimate an object-age distribution. Wasabi totals are withheld when this is needed or when monthly egress exceeds its published policy. Repeated restore bursts may need provider approval even if an average month fits.
Scaleway uses a constant capacity for 730 hours and rounds capacity to a whole GB. Bunny and Scaleway’s GB byte bases were not explicit in the pricing pages checked; decimal interpretation is an assumption, shown beside their rates. AWS and Wasabi use GiB-based billing, converted from the input’s decimal GB. Read the methodology for the complete scope.
