Civo has acquired Kubefirst from Kubeshop. Kubefirst provides a GitOps-based platform for setting up Kubernetes environments and the tools around them.
Civo says Kubefirst will continue as its own entity, with an open-source version and integrations that are not tied to a single cloud provider.
Why a cloud customer might care
A usable Kubernetes setup includes more than a cluster. Teams also need a repeatable path for application deployment and infrastructure changes. Kubefirst addresses that surrounding workflow.
The acquisition does not mean an existing Kubefirst deployment must automatically move to Civo. The useful next step is to compare its supported integrations and operating model with the team’s current deployment process.
