Clerk has expanded Billing to businesses in countries supported by Stripe. The original connection flow was limited to US businesses.
The updated flow lets users select their business location when connecting Stripe. Clerk notes that an existing connection may need to be disconnected and set up again if the location selector remains locked.
What this enables
Application teams using Clerk can evaluate its billing integration alongside authentication, instead of assuming the feature is available only to a US business.
The country requirement remains tied to Stripe’s supported business locations. Authentication billing and payment-processing costs also have different meters, so both belong in the budget when combining identity and subscription features.
