Exoscale SKS becomes generally available

Scalable Kubernetes Service rolls out across Exoscale zones, with PRO billing starting the next day.

Exoscale says Scalable Kubernetes Service, or SKS, has reached general availability across its zones.

The announcement sets April 1 as the start of enforced PRO service-level agreements, full support, PRO-cluster billing and web-portal access. It also lists Terraform support, lifecycle management and credential rotation among the service’s improvements.

Plan the complete cluster

Managed Kubernetes reduces work on the control plane, but applications still need worker capacity, persistent storage and a network design. Those components affect both resilience and cost.

The rollout adds a managed option to Exoscale’s European infrastructure catalogue. Teams already using VMs can compare the operating effort of a Kubernetes cluster with a simpler deployment before choosing the extra machinery.
