Google has introduced Workspace, bringing its productivity and collaboration applications under a new name as G Suite evolves.
The offering includes familiar services such as Gmail, Drive, Docs and Meet, with a focus on connecting communication and document work more closely.
A SaaS choice for the team
Workspace is finished software that administrators configure for users. It is separate from Google Cloud’s virtual machines and application deployment services.
When comparing a business plan, check user licences, storage, administration and the features the team actually needs. Choosing Workspace for email does not provide an application-hosting budget or replace the cloud services used to run a public website.
