Hetzner is now offering cloud services in Singapore. The location expands its deployment choices beyond Europe and North America and gives applications serving Asian users a nearer compute option.
The launch includes AMD-based shared and dedicated-vCPU cloud servers, with features such as volumes and load balancers.
What to check before moving
- Measure the application path from its actual users.
- Compare traffic allowances and overage prices for Singapore.
- Keep the database and other latency-sensitive dependencies close to compute.
A new region can shorten the network path, but moving only the web server may leave slow cross-region calls to the rest of the stack. Replication and recovery also need an explicit design rather than an assumption that choosing two regions creates automatic failover.
