Netlify introduces credit-based plans for new accounts

One shared credit balance covers several types of platform usage; existing plans remain available to their customers.

Netlify has introduced credit-based plans for new accounts. The billing model combines several categories of usage into a shared monthly credit balance.

The announcement says existing customers can remain on their legacy plans without taking action, with an optional move to the new plans to follow.

Budget the usage pattern

A shared balance is easier to watch, but deployments, compute and delivery do not necessarily consume it at the same rate. A busy release cycle and a high-traffic site can therefore use the same plan differently.

Before choosing a plan, estimate the activities the project actually performs and decide what should happen when the included credits are exhausted. Current plan details are linked from the Netlify profile rather than frozen into this historical announcement.
