OVHcloud introduces Kubernetes Standard across three zones

Managed Kubernetes Standard launches in Paris 3-AZ, with Milan deployment planned next.

OVHcloud has launched Managed Kubernetes Service Standard in the Paris 3-AZ region. Its control plane is distributed across availability zones, adding a managed-cluster option for workloads that need more resilience.

The announcement describes Milan 3-AZ as a rollout planned for the autumn, rather than an already available launch location.

What the application still needs

  • Worker pools placed to match the resilience requirement.
  • Storage and network services with a compatible design.
  • A recovery plan tested against the application’s failure modes.

The managed service’s SLA is one part of the setup, not a guarantee that an application built on top of it never fails. Teams should compare the complete cluster and data design, including the resources that contribute to the bill.
