Railway V3 introduces Metal-based pricing changes

The launch ties lower egress and storage prices to accounts with sufficient usage on Railway Metal.

Railway has launched V3 around its own Metal infrastructure. The announcement describes pricing changes for customers with at least 80% of their usage on Metal.

For eligible accounts, Railway lists the removal of seat charges, lower outbound-traffic and storage prices, and changes to incremental add-on charges.

Check eligibility before comparing bills

The 80% condition is important: the announcement is not an unconditional reduction for every existing resource. A project spread across environments should check where its usage runs before projecting savings.

Metal changes the infrastructure beneath the deployment platform, while the application workflow remains the main reason to choose Railway. Compare compute, storage and traffic together using the account’s applicable rates.
