B2 suits backups, archives kept online and application files with moderate downloads. The important relationship is between stored capacity and delivery: an occasional restore behaves differently from a popular public download.
Choose direct delivery or a partner route before comparing the bill. A partner’s storage-egress arrangement does not necessarily make its downstream delivery free.
What the calculator covers
- $6.95 per decimal TB for a 30-day storage month.
- The first 10 GB of storage when the allowance is enabled.
- Free standard transactions and direct egress up to three times average stored volume, then the published per-GB charge.
Overdrive, specialized transaction products and another provider’s CDN costs are extra. Changing stored capacity can also affect the monthly average.
Set the region first
B2 offers US, European and Canadian regions. Check the account’s region and the client’s endpoint before moving a large repository.
Test the specific native or S3-compatible operations your tool uses, and perform a complete restore with representative files.
