Grafana Cloud hosts an observability platform around metrics, logs, traces and related tools. It can collect signals from applications and infrastructure without a team operating the monitoring backend itself. This hosted service is a different choice from running open-source Grafana on a server.
How pricing works
The free and paid plans have different included usage and retention. Metrics cardinality, log ingestion and trace volume can drive costs independently. Reducing unused telemetry can matter as much as choosing a lower subscription tier.
Choosing a setup
Grafana Cloud fits teams that need a combined view across servers, containers and applications. Sentry focuses more directly on application issues. A sensible setup collects the signals needed for diagnosis, rather than treating unlimited telemetry as a goal.
